Located on the north west coast of St Lucia, about an hour from the international airport, this 30-room/suite beach front, all-inclusive Eastern Caribbean resort combines surf, sand and 12 acres of beautiful tropical gardens. Rooms/Suites


All rooms have been totally upgraded recently with new furnishings and renovated bathrooms. Scattered throughout the garden property are 10 superior rooms in hexagonal rondavels; 16 deluxe rooms in semi-detached cottages; 3 ocean view rooms in a refurbished beach house with spacious sun decks; and an ocean-front suite with sitting room, large sun-deck and outdoor shower.


 

Dining & Lounges

 

The hotel's gourmet restaurant the Flamboyant Room offers a 4-course table d'hote menu or weekly BBQ to include lobster grill (in season) plus a different choice each night of 3 or 4 wines from several different countries. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style; afternoon tea & cakes are served in the Bamboo Lounge. Guests have a choice of 3 different bars/lounges, which include the Pool Bar, a self-service Swim Up Bar; the Bamboo Lounge, and the Sunset Beach Bar. East Winds Inn is the only hotel in St. Lucia to be awarded the prestigious plaque from the Châine Des Rotisseurs, the oldest gastronomical group in the world.


 

All Inclusive Features

 

Complimentary welcome fruit basket, full breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and 4-course dinner daily; hampers for picnic lunches or excursions; all restaurant and bar beverages by the glass; Champagne in the evening; choice of 3 or 4 different wines at dinner; weekly Manager's Champagne cocktail party; free activities and sports equipment; regular live entertainment.

 

Weddings

 

The hotel offers special wedding packages for $800 that include all the necessities (fees, licence, decorated venue, bouquet & boutonniere, cake) plus a Champagne dinner. Options include a steel band, extra champagne and a photographer. Honeymoon and Anniversary packages also available.

 

Botanical Garden

 

The hotel’s beautiful gardens, set in 12 tropical acres with more than 100 different species of plant life, offers guests a meandering pathway with close-up views of exotic flora and fauna some 34 species of birds have been sighted on the property. The head gardener will introduce guests to local flora and fauna.


 

Amenities

 

The hotel features a swimming pool, shopping boutique, yoga pavilion, in-room spa treatments, jogging/fitness trail, games pavilion with selection of board games, DVDs and library.


Activities & Entertainment


Yoga and Pilates classes are offered 3times a week led by an experienced, accredited instructor. A fitness track, which meanders through the hotel gardens, combines exercise stations with walking or jogging to provide a well-balanced fitness routine. Healthy food choices are also available, including nutritious smoothies, with detox concotions and therapeutic cleansers. Other onsite activities include swimming , dive packages (available for PADI qualified divers); watersports (complimentary use of pedalos, kayaks, aqua-view boards, hobbie cats and snorkeling equipment); guided tours of the hotel's botanical gardens; turtle watching April - September; bird-watching on property (34 resident and migratory birds identified); shuffleboard; and table tennis. A steel band plays Saturdays during gourmet lunch buffet, and local musicians perform regularly, including playing on the hotel's venerable Steinway piano.


Island activities and attractions include Treetop Canopy Adventure; Our Planet science centre; working plantation tour with zipline; Pigeon Island National Park (concerts, picnics, swimming, snorkeling); marine reserve (snorkeling); Diamond Falls Botanical Garden; hiking; horseback riding; helicopter tours, shopping & craft markets, Friday night street parties, renowned jazz festival, and more.

Airport Transfers - Car transfer from Hewanaorra Airport to hotel is US$100 one-way per couple; via St Lucia Helicopters, US$145 pp each way - both bookable through hotel.
