We are very pleased to begin the year with the addition to our portfolio of four exciting new properties, including the new RELAIS & CHATEAUX BORGO SANTO PIETRO in Tuscany, a restored 13th-century Tuscan villa, nestled in quiet seclusion near Siena – winner of the Best Boutique Hotel in 2012! Closed for the winter, the hotel re-opens March 28, 2013.
LE PIGONNET, a 5-star, 18th century hotel located close to the centre of Aix-en-Provence, France, was frequented by Paul Cezanne and more recently has welcomed celebrities, such as Princess Caroline, Iggy Pop and Clint Eastwood.
ABADIA RETUERTA LE DOMAINE, a new member of Relais & Chateaux, is an elegantly restored 12th century abbey nestled among magnificent vineyards along the banks of the River Duero, about 2 hr north of Madrid.
THE BELA VISTA, a Relais & Chateaux property, lovingly restored 19th century family house with formal gardens overlooking the ocean, became the first hotel in the Algarve, a sun-drenched region in the south of Portugal.

HOTEL BELA VISTA (www.hotelbelavista.net)
In 1934, a 19th century family-house overlooking the ocean became the first hotel in the Algarve. The Bela Vista has now been refurbished and is an immaculately preserved oceanfront resort hotel with formal gardens. This elegant 34-room, 4-suite hotel includes a swimming pool, two meeting rooms (the largest accommodating up to 70 guests), two bars and two restaurants – a gourmet restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the ocean and a poolside bar/lounge restaurant.
